Mrs. Billie Jean Jackson Boren, 84, of Mountain View, and formerly of Dell, passed from this life Sunday, May 27, 2012, at the Stone County Nursing and Rehab Facility in Mountain View. Born to Farmer and Virginia King Jackson in Dell, she was a homemaker and a member of the Crossroads Baptist Church.

A favorite pastime of Billie's' was flower gardening of which she was a very talented individual. She also loved to sew and spent hours making quilts or Afghans for family and friends. Billie was also very active in her church and loved the Lord with all her heart and soul. Her life was her testimony of this love. Love didn't stop with her beliefs but rather grew stronger as she helped make a home for her family. She also loved crossword puzzles and the challenges they presented. Her children said even on the day she died they would read to her the puzzle and fill in her answers.

In addition to Billie's parents, her husband, Curtis Boren; a grandchild, Jacqueline Boren; great-grandchildren Nicholas and Carter Finley and five siblings preceded her in death.

Billie is survived by her sons, Jack Boren and wife, Marilyn, of Mountain View, Ray Boren and wife, Phyllis, of Sevierville, Tenn., Steve Boren and wife, Susan, of Blytheville;
