Wife of Carroll Fairfax Blakemore
Mrs. Jennie Long Blakemore, 96, of Blytheville died Sunday, June 13, 1999, at her home. Born in Covinton, Tenn., the daughter of William A. Long and Minnie Bell Long, she was the widow of Carroll Blakemore. An area resident for most of her life, she was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Blakemore was the retired co-owner of Hubbard Hardware in Blytheville.
She leaves one son, Carroll Blakemore Jr. of New Orleans; and one daughter, Sarah Blakemore Foster of Memphis.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Blakemore was preceded in death by her parents.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Elmwood Cemetery. The Rev. Larry Ellis and the Rev. Thad Grimstead will officiate.
