Gladys Blythe Hardin Taylor, 101, of Blytheville, Ark., died Monday, Nov. 14, 2005 at her home.
Born May 15, 1904, in Blytheville, she was the daughter of the late E.E. and Eva Blythe Hardin. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Taylor Sr., and her brother, Edward E. Hardin II.
She was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church.
She was a elementary school teacher at Lange and Central Elementary schools in Blytheville.
Mrs. Taylor was a graduate of Galloway College in Searcy, Ark., where she was a member of the Irving Literacy Society. She was an avid bridge player and a lifelong Democrat. She was the great-granddaughter of the Rev. Henry T. Blythe, founder of the City of Blytheville.
Mrs. Taylor leaves one son, Jesse Taylor Jr., of St. Louis.
Funeral services for Mrs. Taylor were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 17, 2005, at the First United Methodist Church in Blytheville with Rev. Pam Estes officiating.
Burial was at the Elmwood Cemetery in Blytheville with Cobb Funeral Home of Blytheville in charge of services
