Mr. Charles Jack Pollard, 84, of Blytheville, Arkansas, passed from this life on September 5, 2010 at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
Born to Henry and Bessie Beason Pollard in Yarbro, he was a lifelong resident and attended the Yarbro Baptist Church.
He was a retired State of Arkansas Employee having worked in the Department of Transportation. Jack was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he served his country with honor during World War II and was a 65-year member of the American Legion. Jack had several hobbies and enjoyed working in his yard. However, his greatest attribute was the love he showed to his family and friends. When it came to his grandchildren, he had a special love for them and spent as much time as possible with them. Jack was a deeply devoted husband to his wife Patsy Pollard who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his children, Jackie Bivens and her husband Larry of Jonesboro, Charlda Russell and her husband Ronnie of Denver, Colorado; grandchildren, Kacey Russell of Denver, Amy Bivens and Michael Bivens, both of Jonesboro.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at 11 a.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wesley Davis and Mr. Jim Gillis officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.

Patsy Dean Tatum Pollard, 76, of Blytheville died Sunday, Oct. 8, 2006, at Baptist Hospital, Memphis.
She was born to Price and Violet Tatum Strode in Braggadocio, Mo.
Her parents preceded her in death.
Survivors include husband Jack Pollard of Blytheville; children, William "Butch" Cobb, Jackie and Larry Bivens, and Charlda and Ronnie Russell; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a brother, Doward Tatum of Blytheville.
Graveside services were held in Elmwood Cemetery with Charles Yarbro officiating.
