Frances Anne Ball Hume of Rogers, departed this life and entered the next on Aug. 28, 2007, at Circle of Life Hospice House in Springdale.

She was born March 8, 1940, in Omaha, Texas to Francis Lee Ball and Vera Honea Ball.

She was a graduate of the University of Houston and a retired teacher. Her favorite travel included visiting places in England. She loved music, art and movies. She had made her home in Texas, Illinois and Arkansas.

Ms. Hume was a Christian and a member of a Methodist Church for many years. Later in life, she found comfort in the teachings of the Catholic Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Deanna Kyle and husband Michael; one granddaughter, Madeline Kyle of Rogers; one sister, Glenda Butler and husband Tom of Horsehoe Bay, Texas; and one niece, Elizabeth Dickson and husband Randy of Austin, Texas.

Ms. Hume's family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of the Earlene Howard Hospice House in Springdale for their loving care, to the Colclaures for their kindness and assurances in her interment beside their beloved Frederick, and to Kathleen Philips of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church for her friendship and sharing of communion with Ms. Hume.

A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. today, Aug. 30 at Rogers City Cemetery with Pastor Jay Walker officiating.

Arrangements are by Callison-Lough Funeral Home.
