Lavon Linn Spears, 81, passed away on February 18, 2011 at her home in North Little Rock with her family at bedside.

She was born in Damascus, AR on December 5, 1929 to W. Mitchell and Flora Odom Linn. Lavon was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Spears; one son, Patrick Alan Spears, two brothers, Herchel Linn and Q.T. Linn, two sisters, Reba Fulks, Avenelle Russell; and her parents.

Lavon is survived by one daughter, Janet Spears; granddaughter, Emily Spears and daughter-in-law, Beth Haynie Spears, all of Little Rock.

Lavon was a member of Levy Baptist, North Little Rock, AR; a former employee of Dillard’s Dept. store and a lifetime member of the Pulaski County Master Garden Society.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Levy Baptist Church, 3501 Pike Avenue, North Little Rock, AR, or Arkansas Hospice, One Parkstone Circle, North Little Rock, AR 722116

The family will receive friends from 2-4 PM, Sunday, February 20, 2011 at Roller-Owens Funeral Home, 5509 JFK Blvd, North Little Rock, AR (501-791-7400). A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, February 21, 2011, at Levy Baptist Church, Reverend Steven Tiner officiating. Interment at Copperas Springs Cemetery, Guy, AR.
