BELLA VISTA — George W. Mellicker, 78, of Bella Vista died March 13, 2004, at his home. He was born Nov. 23, 1925, in Cedar County, Iowa, to George W. and Anna K. Knott Mellicker. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and was a 1947 graduate of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. He worked in financial management and was treasurer for Emerson Electric Co. in St. Louis, Mo. He was enjoyed hunting, fishing and outdoor activities. He was a member of the United Lutheran Church in Bella Vista.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Judith A. Mellicker of Bella Vista; one daughter, Martha A. Street and husband Richard J. of Ellisville, Mo.; two sons, George W Mellicker and wife Susan M. of Owasso, Okla., and Mark S. Mellicker and wife Sharen K. of Barrington, Ill.; four grandchildren; one stepgranison; one sister, Marilyn J. Villhauer of Iowa City, Iowa.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the United Lutheran Church in Bella Vista with the Rev. Arno Frerichs officiating.

Arrangements are by Bella Vista Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Oak Indian Center, c/o United Lutheran Church, 100 Cooper Road, Bella Vista, 72715.
