Elton L. Lawson, 51, of Chicago, died Friday in West Side Veterans Hospital at Chicago.
Born in Cooler, Mo., he had been a resident of the Blytheville area most of his life. He was retired
after 20 years service in the U.S. Air Force and was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion and the
Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by his mother, Mrs Nora Lawson, Blytheville;
One son, Elton Lawson Jr., Nashville, Tenn;
One daughter, Mrs. Luanna Moffelt, Pemberton, N. J.,;
And one brother, Kenneth Lawson of Chicago.
Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Monday in Cobb Funeral Home chapel, Rev. Joe Thompson and Rev. Paul Kirkindall officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Personnel from Blytheville Air Force Base will take part in miltary rites at the gravesite.
