Owen Carter Dodd, 88, of Fort Smith died Friday, Nov. 16, 2001, in a Fort Smith nursing home. He was a retired clerk for Frisco Railroad and a member of Bethel Lutheran Church. Funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at Barling Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Norma; a son, Gary of Alpharetta, Ga.; a brother, Roy Dodd of Van Buren; two grandchildren, Michael Dodd of New Orleans and Jennifer Bedell of Stephens, Ga.; and one great-grandchild. The family will visit with friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
