Husband of Mary Louise Sinclair Conner
Earl D. "Pete" Conner, 72, of Fort Smith died Tuesday, June 3, 2003, in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 24, 1931, in Yukon, Okla. He was retired from the Fort Smith City Water Department, a member of NRA and of the Baptist faith. Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Barling City Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith. He is survived by his wife, Mary L. Conner of the home; five sons, Benny D. Conner, Bobby Conner, Will Conner and Charlie Conner, all of Fort Smith, and Ed Conner of Grady; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. The family will visit with friends from 6 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral
