Husband of Margot McClary Chaffin
He was 67 years old and is survived by his wife, Margot McClary Chaffin; a daughter, Stacy Giles and husband Pete of Pyatt; two sons, Vince Chaffin and wife Shannon of Ft. Smith and Aaron Chaffin and wife, Stacie of Russellville, Ala.; two stepdaughters, Debbie Moulton and husband David of Ft. Smith and Becky Barton and husband Kenny of Greenwood; a stepson, Bill Pitts and wife Debbie of Charleston; 5 brothers, James Chaffin and wife Thelma of Valley View, Texas, Melvin Chaffin and wife Pat of Fort Smith, Bill Chaffin and wife Brenda of Wichita, Kan., Tommy Chaffin of Van Buren and Doyle Chaffin and wife Monica of Denton, Texas; three sisters, Patsy Jones and husband Ray of Dallas, Sue Hopkins of Van Buren and Edith Gregory and husband Johnie of Alma; 6 grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, a great-grandchild and a step great-grandchild along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Maurice N. and Dovie Chaffin, an infant brother, Harold Dean Chaffin, and a sister,Norma Lee Childers.
