Harold Wayne Underwood, 75, of Cecil passed away Thursday, Nov. 13, 2008, in his home. He was born May 7, 1933, in Cecil to Dow R. Underwood and Thelma L. White Underwood. Was of the Freewill Baptist faith; a self-employed farmer and trucker. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Jo Ann Newton.
Service will be 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 17 at Smith Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Richard Shotzman and the Rev. Joe Hobbs officiating, with burial at Island Cemetery, northeast of Lavaca under the direction of Smith Mortuary.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Underwood of the home; two daughters, Dee Kramer of Alma and Leesa Bowden of Yukon, Okla.; two sons, Travis Trotter of Cecil and Allen Underwood of Searcy; one sister, Joy Bennett of Rialto, Calif.; four nieces and two nephews; one uncle, C.J. White of Fort Smith; two aunts, Mary White of Dardanelle and Asalea White of Cecil; six grandchildren, Janette Gragg, Jennifer Wilson, Michael Beau Bowden, Eryka Bowden, Dylan Trotter and Lauren Trotter.
Pallbearers will be Larry White, Mike Little, Doug Teague, Jeff Price, Wayne Martin, Jackie Franklin and Marcia Buckner. Honorary pallbearers will be Cody and Colby Franklin, Eric Steffy, Quade Moore, Tyler Reames, Dylan Trotter, Michael Beau Bowden, Donald White and David Summerhill.
