Mrs. Belle Lewis, 75, of Dell, died Wednesday, October 1, 2008, at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville. Born in Biggers, AR to the late Lehman Joseph and Cora Mae Woodruff Halford, she was a long time area resident, a homemaker, and a member of Dell Baptist Church.
Mrs. Lewis was a member of Lone Oak Extension Homemakers Club, very active in her church, having served as president of the WMU, and enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, quilting, canning, and was an excellent cook.
She is survived by her husband, Jack Lewis, of the home; two daughters, Jacqueline Baker and her husband Bruce of Mammoth Springs, AR, and Gay Gantz and her husband Steve of Bryant, AR; two sons, Randy Lewis and his wife Linda of Bryant, and Ronnie Lewis and his wife Judy of Bella Vista, AR; one brother, Joe Halford and his wife Linda of Abingdon, IL; six grandchildren, Courtney Lewis, Scott Lewis, Casey Lewis, Kelly Moore, Steven Lewis, and Whitney Greenway; and two great-grandchildren, Zander Lewis and Samantha Lewis.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 4, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. in Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeff Lammers officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Condolences may be emailed to
