Elva Dean Bonds Widener of Clinton passed away at the age of 78 She died on March 20, 2006 at the Ozark Health Nursing Home. She was born October 12, 1927 in Arlberg, Arkansas; the eldest of eight children of Joe Jackson Bonds and Myrtha Arizona Lee Bonds. She married Floyd Newton Widener on February 23, 1946, who preceded her in death, July 3, 1982. Mrs. Widener was a retired employee of ConAgra and a member of Pee Dee Baptist Church. Her love of her family was immeasurable as a daughter, wife, and mother, and she dearly loved being "Granny Dean" to her Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren, and to all the neighborhood children. Mrs. Widener is survived by two daughters, Merl Eoff and husband, Bill of Clinton, and Fran Kirkendoll and husband, Gary of Marshall. Her six granddaughters are Gretchen Kirkendoll Hunt, Erika Eoff Smith, Kim Kirdendoll Circle, Myra Eoff Shock, Monica Eoff Lieblong, and Kayla Kirkendoll. Her five great-grandsons are Steven Blake and Seth Hunt, Braxton and Brock Smith, and Kase Shock. Her seven great ­grand daughters are Rachael, Brook, and Ali Hunt, Bailey and Keylee Circle, and Mary Alex and Karly Rae Lieblong. Other survivors include three sisters; Imogene Fulmer of Conway, Merle Sutterfield of Fox, and Pat Ward of Atkins, three brothers; J.C. Bonds and Jessie Bonds of Fox and Mack Bonds of Conway. She was preceded in death by one sister Norma Jo Brazear. Funeral services will be 2pm Wednesday, March 22, 2006, at the Pee Dee Baptist Church with Brother Don Mulford, Pastor Kyle Blanton, and Minister Benton Allen, Jr. Burial will be at Pee Dee Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8p.m. March 21, 2006 at the Roller McNutt Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Hubert Moore, Kenneth Keeling, Terry Kirkendoll, Toby Hendrix, Joe Paul Henderson, and James Eoff. Honorary Pallbearers Braxton Smith, Steven Blake Hunt and Seth Hunt. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pee Dee Baptist Church Building Fund, Marshall Baptist Church Building Fund, Hospice Home Care, or Ozark Health Nursing Home. The family will be eternally grateful to the excellent care provided by Dr. Jose Abiseid, RNP Robbie Pickle, Hospice Home Care, and Ozark Health Nursing Home Employees.
