Leroy Phillips, 79
A Funeral Service for Leroy Phillips, 79, a lifetime resident of Flippin, Arkansas will be 2PM Monday December 17, 2012, at Pleasant Ridge United Methodist Church with Pastor Danny Hutcherson officiating. Visitation will be from 4-6PM Sunday December 16, 2012 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home in Bull Shoals, AR. Leroy died December 13, 2012.
Leroy was born October 2, 1933, at Flippin, AR to Thomas and Hannah Duggins Phillips. He married Euna Lea Melton November 21, 1956, at Pleasant Ridge United Methodist Church. Leroy was a United States Army Veteran and served his country in the Korean War. Leroy was an avid hunter and fisherman. Enjoyed family, people and conversation.
Leroy is survived by a son, Alan Phillips (Debby) of Yellville, AR, three daughters, Rona Phillips of Yellville, AR, Marsha Hudson (Tony) of Flippin, AR, and Mary Phillips of Fayetteville, AR; one sister, Mary Edwards of Flippin, AR; nine grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren and many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, seven brothers, Alva, Guy, Bill, James, Harold, E.G., and Marvin and one sister, Zelma Green.
Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery with Sammy Phillips, Larry Phillips, John Campbell, Jimmy Mitchner, Hal Mitchner, and Gary Phillips as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Ronald Phillips, Guy Swan, Joe Wilkins, and Kenny Howard.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House.
