Orin Nelson Bisom, 63, a resident of the Whitener Community died Friday night at Springdale Memorial Hospital. He was born May 5, 1900 at Newton, Iowa and was a retired farmer and a member of the Evergreen Church of Christ. Survivors include the widow, Velma May of the home; his mother, Mrs. Ida Bisom Howard of Des Moines, Iowa; one daughter, Mrs. Verna May Bell of Hindsville; four sisters, Mrs. Phil Mason of Fayetteville, Miss Edith Howard of Des Moines, Mrs. Madge McClaran of Davenport, Iowa, and Mrs. Reba Beaty of West Des Moines and three grandchildren.

Velva Mae Bisom, 81, of Route 2, Box 96, Hindsville, died July 29, 1983, at the Springdale Memorial Hospital. She was born March 3, 1902 at Mayfield, Ark., the daughter of Wilbur Green and Sarah Jane Clark Mayfield. She was a member of the Hope Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Verna Mae Bell of Hindsville; one sister, Mrs. Ovid Puryear of Mayfield; three grandsons, Charles Bell of Fayetteville, Rocky Richard Bell and Ronnie Wayne Bell, both of Hindsville; one granddaughter, Mrs. Shirley Mae Parks of Hindsville; seven great-grandchildren.Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 1, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with the Rev. Eldon Bagwell and the Rev. Earl Dean Morris officiating. Burial was in the Buckeye Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home.Pallbearers were Jerry Calico, Lawrence Bell, Keneth Campbell, James Bragg, Paul Cate and A. T. Smith.
