{from Elm Springs) After a long continued illness Alf Burch died Thursday at his home two miles northwest of Elm Springs. Mr. Burch had lived for many years at his last residence and was universally regarded as a good citizen and a Christian man. He was a worthy member of the Missionary Baptist church and was also a member of the Masonic and Knights of Pythias lodges. The funeral services were held at the home being conducted by his friend of many years, Dr. D.C. Summers. He was buried in the Burch family graveyard. He suffered much during his last illness but we rejoice in the hope that he has entered into the rest prepared for the people of God. A wife, several children and numerous relatives and friends mourn his departure.
