Homer Bragg To Be Buried Today (Thursday)

Charles Homer Bragg, 66, of Goshen died unexpectedly at his home Friday morning. He was a native of Madison county and was born Nov. 4, 1896, the son of Charles and Emily Bragg.

A well known farmer, Mr. Bragg was a member of the Buckeye Free Will Baptist Church and a number of organizations including the Masonic Lodge, the Order of Eastern Start, Hayes-Smith American Legion Post No. 137, and was a 32nd Degree Mason. He served as president of the Goshen RCI club, was serving as a Deacon in his church, was a member of the Washington county ASC Committee, and had been a Past Master of his Lodge, and past commander of the American Legion Post here.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Myrtle Bragg, of the home; three daughters, Mrs. Reba Wolher and Mrs. Mary Jo Sexton of Peoria, Ill., and Mrs. Hazel Sager of Tucson, Arizona; one son, Roy Bragg of Tucson; two brothers, Henry Bragg of Huntsville and Howard Bragg of Pico Rivera, Calif; one sister, Mrs. Hattie Tisdale of Gentry, and seven grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Buckeye church conducted by Rev. Horace Knox and Rev. Cecil Garrison. Burial will be in the Buckeye cemetery under the direction of Brashears funeral home.

Masonic rites will be conducted at the graveside.
