Charley Allen Bennett, 59, farmer of Route 1, Elkins, near
Hindsville, died September 20, 1951 in City Hospital. He was born November 6, 1891, in Mississippi, but had lived most of his life in the Hindsville community.He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Margie Bennett; four daughters, Mrs. Mildred Middlemas and Miss Ona Bennett, both of Kansas City, Mo., Mrs. Talou McCollough and Miss Fern Bennett, both of Tulsa,Okla.; three sons, Tillman Bennett of Huntsville, Luther Bennett of Wesley, and Gerald Bennett of the home; one sister, Mrs. Sally Clifford of Canada; three brothers, Elish Bennett of California, Cooper Bennett and Rube Bennett, both of Mississippi; and one grandchild.
Funeral services were conducted in the Buckeye Church by the Rev. John Asbell. Burial was in the Buckeye cemetery under the direction of Moore's Funeral Chapel. Pallbearers were Howard Guinn, Homer Bragg, Harrison Langham, Ernest Buchanan, Walker Pitts, and Ernest
