Laura J. Daye, age 79, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, died Sunday, January 28, 2007. She was born June 12, 1927, in Chicago, Illinois, and married Eugene Daye on May 1, 1948, in Chicago. She moved to Mountain Home from Chicago in 1964, and worked as a waitress at the Patio Restaurant, was a member of St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, and enjoyed her grandkids, fishing, and watching college football and basketball.

Survivors are: her husband: Eugene Daye: of the home; 2 sons: Richard Daye: Clinton, Arkansas, and Jeffrey (Janice) Daye: Mountain Home; 2 daughters: Maureen (Tom) Daye: Mountain Home, and Karen Daye: Jonesboro, Arkansas; a brother: Otto Karris: Hammond, Indiana; 2 grandchildren: Kristen Daye: Jonesboro, and Jennifer (Josh) Strode: Mountain Home; 5 great-grandchildren: Christopher, Sarah, Michelle, Kaitlyn and Ryan Strode; a host of nieces and nephews and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Robert and Joann Daye: Mountain Home. She was preceded in death by her parents; 10 brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be from Noon-9:00 P.M. Tuesday at Roller Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 6-8:00 P.M. A Vigil Service will be at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday in the Roller Chapel. The Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church with Reverend James Fanrak as celebrant. Interment will follow at Baxter Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to a favorite charity.

Mr. Eugene I. Daye, age 85 of Mountain Home passed away Sunday, June 8, 2014 at his residence. He was born November 18, 1928 in Chicago, Illinois to James Daye and Pauline Udovitch Daye. He married Laura Karris on May 1, 1948 in Chicago.
Mr. Daye was a member of St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed fishing and was a charter member of the Norfork Bass Club. He is survived by a son, Jeffrey(Janice) Daye of Mountain Home; 2 daughters: Maureen (Tom) Daye and Karen Daye, both of Mountain Home. 2 granddaughters: Kristen (Aaron) Steenbergen and Jennifer (Josh) Strode; 5 great grandchildren: Christopher, Sarah, Michelle, Kaitlyn and Ryan; a sister, Dorothy Hellyer of Quincy, Illinois; 2 brothers: Bob Daye of Mountain Home and Johnny Daye of Chicago, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Laura Daye in 2007 and son Richard Daye in 2013.
Visitation will be from 6 until 8 PM Tuesday June 10, 2014 at Roller Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at Roller Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Baxter Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks.
