Funeral Services for Bette Marie Despard of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 10:00 am, Friday, June 6, 2014, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 05, 2014 from 5:00 until 8:00 pm, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home.
Bette passed away May 31, 2014, in Mountain Home at the age of 88. She was born September 11, 1925, in Kansas City, Kansas, the daughter of Jerry and Esther Longnickle Russell. She worked as a Accountant. Bette lived in Mountain Home since 1970, moving from Kansas City. She was a member of the Eagles and motorcycle clubs; the Retreads and Motor Maids. She loved dancing at the Van Matre Senior Center.
Bette is survived by her son, Ronald and wife, Becky Dawkins, of Kansas City, KS; son-in-law, Amon and wife, Kathy Tilley, of Mountain Home, AR; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Caron Tilley, two brothers, Leland Ladenburger and Jerry Russell and sister, Rosemary Dresser.
Burial will be in the Galatia Cemetery, Norfork, AR.
