Wife of D H Barron
Mrs. Lucy Palestine Barron, 94, of Rt. 1, Box 212, Elkins, Ark., died Jan. 11, 1990, at the Springdale Memorial Hospital. She was born Sept. 2, 1895, at Whitener, Ark., the daughter of Andrew Newton and Hannah Jane Johnson McCoy. She was a retired practical nurse and a member of the Buckeye Regular Primitive Baptist Church. She was the widow of Daniel Henry Barron, who preceded her in death on June 30, 1952.Survivors include four sons, Clarice W. Barron Sr. of Goshen, Goldman Barron of Hindsville, Andrew Barron of Huntsville and Dale Barron of Farmington; two daughters, Mrs. Opal Fitch of Norwalk, Calif., and Ms. Juanita Barron of Long Beach, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 15, at the Buckeye Baptist Church with the Rev. Eddie Samuels and the Rev. Lloyd Pierce officiating. Interment was in the Buckeye Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home. Pallbearers were grandsons.
