Robert L. "Bob" Cannon, 70, of Rogers died Monday, April 8, at St. Mary's Hospital.

He was born Jan. 29, 1921, at Dardanelle to Ernest R. Cannon and Janie Scoles Cannon. He served as a county agent at Marshfield, Mo., and after moving to Rogers in 1951 he was a salesman for Red Comb and Ledbrest Poultry Industries. He was operating his own business, Custom Auto. He served in the United States Army Air Corps Technical Command in 1943. He graduated from Dardanelle High School, attended Arkansas Tech University then graduated from the University of Arkansas, where he was a member of Gamma Iota, the Agri Club and the Blue Key Club. Active in Central United Methodist Church, he attended the Willing Workers Sunday School Class, was a member of the United Methodist Men's Club, served as an usher and was the Fayetteville District United Methodist Men's Club treasurer. He moved to Rogers from Marshfield, Mo., in 1951. He was preceded in death by a brother, Adrain "Jack" Cannon; and a sister, Louise Cooksey.

Survivors are his wife, Lois Cannon; three sons, Robert Larry Cannon of Dallas, Texas, Michael Roy Cannon of Houston, Texas, and David Lee Cannon of Fayetteville; a daughter, Debra Fritsche of El Dorado; two brothers, Earl Cannon of Little Rock and Walton W. Cannon of Morgantown, W.Va.; a sister, Jewel Waid of Kansas City, Mo.; and six grandchildren.

Funeral is set for 2 p.m. Thursday at Central United Methodist Church with Dr. Ben C. Hines and the Rev. Stephen C. Brizzi officiating. Burial is to be in Rogers Cemetery. Visitation is set for 5-7 p.m. today at Callison-Lough Funeral Home of Rogers. Memorials may be made to the Central United St. Methodist Church building fund or the United Methodist Men's at Club.

GREENWOOD — Lois E. Snyder Cannon, 85, of Greenwood died Nov. 10, 2006, in Fort Smith. She was born Feb. 8, 1921 in Newkirk, Okla., to Roy and Mildred Poland Snyder. She was a retired schoolteacher and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Rogers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Cannon.

Survivors include three sons, Robert L. Cannon and wife Judi of Dallas; Mike Cannon and wife Peggy of Houston; and David Cannon of Fayetteville, a daughter, Debbie Fritsche and husband Ken of Greenwood; a brother, Frank Snyder of Green Forest; and a sister, Jean Tinsley of Bonner Springs, Kan., seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Rogers from 10 to ll a.m. Tuesday with a celebration of life service to follow at the church. The Rev. Sandra Wanasek and the Rev. Larry Ott will officiate. Burial will follow in the Rogers Cemetery. Donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church Stephen Ministry in Rogers. Arrangements are under the direction of Callison-Lough Funeral Home of Rogers.
