William Eil Morriss, 84, well-known farmer of route 2, Hindsville, died Thursday night, October 18, about 7:30 o'clock,
Mr. Morriss was born in Tennessee May 5, 1871, the son of R.H. Morriss and Emile Korum(Corum) Morriss, but came to Arkansas at an early age and was a lifelong resident of the Hindsville community.
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Viola Morriss, of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Bertie Andrews of Fayetteville and Nola Morriss of the home; three sons, John Morriss of Habberton, Bruce and Henry Morriss of Mayfield; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Albert Morriss of Vaughn, Ark., and Matthew Morriss of Rogers; four sisters, Mrs. Mattie Bragg of Texas, Mrs. Bertha Puryear of Springdale, Mrs. Myrtle Lawson of Burk Shed and Mrs. Lucy Savage of Fayetteville..
Funeral services will be held at Buckeye Thursday (today) at 2 p.m. conducted by the Rev. Cecil Garrison. Burial will be in the Buckeye cemetery under the direction of Brashers Fureral Home.

Mrs. Rebecca Viola Morriss, 88 of Route 2, Hindsville, died at her home at 1:30 a.m. Wednesday. She was the widow of William Eli Morriss, who died in 1955. She was born April 2, 1870 in Arkansas, the daughter of Geo. W. Fitch and Martha GARLAND Fitch.
Survivors include three sons, John Morriss of Habberton, Bruce and Henry Morriss, both of Mayfield; two daughters, Mrs. Bertie Andrews of Fayetteville, and Miss Nola Morriss of the home; a sister, Mrs. S.C. Austin, of Dallas Texas, 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday (today) at 2 o'clock at the Buckeye church conducted by Rev. Cecil Garrison. Burial will be in the Buckeye cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are: Buren Andrew, Jack Morris, Cecil Parks, Chester Morriss, Duard
