Virginia Treat, age 94 of Big Flat, Arkansas passed from this life on Friday, May 23, 2014 at Hospice of the Ozarks in Mountain Home, Arkansas. She was born in Big Flat, Arkansas on March 28, 1920 to Calvin S. Morrow and Mary Matilda (Sisk) Morrow.
Virginia was a member of Big Flat Church of Christ. She was a very dedicated Christian and was always faithful to the house of God as long as she was physically able. She was a homemaker, a farmer, and a caregiver for family members. She was a very hard worker. Virginia was known for her fabulous homemade pies. She also loved to do various crafts such as crochet, embroidery, quilts, and jeweled calendars. She definitely fit the description of a Proverbs 31 woman.
Her husband, J. B. Treat; twin boys, Devoe and Theo; two brothers, Odell Morrow and T. G. Morrow; three sisters, Clearsie Mainord, Thelma Mathis, and Euvonna (Stout) Lehman; daughter-in-law, Frankia Treat; and grandson, Mason Treat preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons, Lonnie Treat of Springdale, and Freddy Treat of Big Flat; three daughters, Sue Sutterfield (Tollie) of Harrison, Frances Bullard (Jim) of Mountain View, and Linda Tibben (Paul) of Big Flat; three brothers, John Franklin Morrow (Nell) and Troy Dale Morrow (Oneda) of Mountain View, and Calvin Van Morrow of Marshall; one sister, Eutah Balentine of Choctaw; 8 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren; and 1 great great great grandchild, several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services for Virginia Treat will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at Roller-Coffman Funeral Home in Marshall, Arkansas with Bro. Donald Patterson officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 till 8:00 PM Monday, May 26, 2014, in the Chapel. Burial will be in Big Flat Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Paul Tibben, Michael Tibben, Joey Treat, Tollie J. Sutterfield, Jimmy Dale Bullard, and Dakota Hand. Honorary pallbearers will be Lonnie Treat and Freddy Treat.
