Frank J. Daugherty, aged 50, of Cape May, New Jersey formerly of Camden died Wednesday in Cape May Memorial Hospital. Mr. Daugherty was born in Philadelphia, Pa., June 25, 1916. During World War II he was an Air Force Pilot, and flew 50 missions over enemy territory. While he lived in Camden he was employed at the International Paper Co., Bagpak division as a commercial artist. He also did other paintings among which were the paintings in the Baptistry of the First Baptist Church in Camden, the First Baptist Church in Smackover, the Elliott Baptist Church, the Temple Baptist Church in Cullendale, and the Trinity Baptist on the old Wire Road. He was married to the former Sibyl Taylor of Camden, and he was a member of the Catholic Church. Besides his wife he is survived by his mother, Mrs. Sally V. Daugherty of Philadelphia; two brothers, Donnie Daugherty of New York, and Eugene Daugherty of California; two sisters, Mrs. Delois Rush of California and Mrs. Angie McElroy of Philadelphia. The body will arrive in Camden Saturday night. A rosary service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the Proctor Chapel. Funeral services will be at 9:00 a.m. Monday at the St. Louis Catholic Church with burial in Mt. Horeb cemetery south of Camden. (Camden News - April 13, 1967)
