Betty S. King, 56, of Blytheville, Ark., died Saturday, January 24, 2004, at the St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark.
Born in Cooter, Mo., she had previously been a waitress and was a buyer for Maverick Tube Company.
She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
Mrs. King leaves her husband, Jack C. King, of Blytheville; One daughter, Stephanie Henderson, of Maumelle, Ark.; One son, James Haddock, of Gosnell, Ark.; Two step-sons: Jack C. King Jr. of Gosnell, and James A King of Armorel, Ark.; An adopted daughter, Penny Wineland, of Gosnell; Three sisters: Irene Derrick of Volonia, Ark., Mary Derrick of Lonoke, Ark. and Jean Benton of Austin, Ark.; Three grandchildren; Three step-grandchildren; Two adopted grandchildren; and A dear friend, Peggy Tate.
Funeral services for Mrs. King were held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 27, 2004, at the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel in Blytheville with Pastor Joe Lyons and Pastor Jacob Roach officiating.
Entombment was at the Dogwood Mausoleum Chapel in the Dogwood Cemetery in Blytheville.
