GRIMES, James M (W) – Brunetta Grimes, widow of J.W. Grimes, who died April 15, 1896, filed Widow Application #13205 with the Confederate Pension Board of Washington County for a Confederate widow pension and it was received as allowed August 30, 1901 by the State, citing her husband’s service with Company D, 45th Tennessee Infantry from 1861 thru 1865.
