WOOLWINE, Dan P. - Dan P. Woolwine, widely known stockman and farmer living northwest of Centerton, died at his home Thursday, August 2, 1928 at the age of 65 years. He had been in ill health for nearly eight months and bedfast for over half that time. Funeral services were held at the Community church in Centerton Friday afternoon, the pastor, Rev. T.J. Justice, assisted by Rev. Hutton of Pea Ridge, officiating. The funeral was largely attended. He was laid to rest by the side of his wife who died six years ago. Mr. Woolwine was born near Braymer, Mo. February 2, 1865 and moved with his parents to Marion, Kansas when a child. Later he married a neighbor's daughter, Miss Emma Shankline. They moved to Arkansas about 30 years ago and settled near Centerton where he has since made his home and engaged in farming and stock buying. He was a member of the M.E. church since boyhood and was a man of splendid character and integrity. He is survived by four children, John Woolwine of Centerton, Miss Velma Woolwine of the home, Mrs. Lena Easley of Bentonville and Mrs. Cecil Bishop of Centerton; also by one brother, J.R. Woolwine of Cripple Creek, Colo. and two sisters, Mrs. Ely Morgan of Bentonville and Mary Goasch of Woodland Park, Colo.
