He departed this life Tuesday, December 11, 2001 in his home at the age of 82. On May 19, 1938 Mr. Rohde graduated from Flippin High School. He was a veteran having served his country with the U.S. Marines during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion, V.F.W. and worked in CC Corps during pre-World War II years. He was employed in the building industry where he was a mill wright. On February 27, 1942 he was united in marriage with Roberta (McLain) who survives him. He is also survived by his son, Grant Rohde of Alpena; two daughters, Linda Terherst of Alpena, Arkansas and Sharon VanCampen of Kingston, Arkansas; three brothers, Jack Rohde of Medford, Oregon, Charlie Rohde of Springdale, Arkansas and Gene Rohde of Arizona; nineteen grandchildren; thirty-six great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sons and three brothers.
