Daniel Huston "Dan" Keck was born April 28, 1891 Madison Co, AR, the son of Simon Redmon Keck and Margaret Jane Duncan. He died August 28, 1976 Madison Co, AR., buried Cove Cemetery near Pettigrew, AR. He married August 16, 1915 Madison Co, AR Chloe Haught, daughter of Isaiah Haught and Lucy M. Johnson. Dan and Chloe had attended their upper grades in Huntsville, AR. Dan had a teaching certificate and taught at the Cove School but didn't like teaching. They did a little out-of-state roaming but came back to Madison County and stayed on the farm he owned. They had eight children, one died when a child.
