Springdale, Ark., Aug. 21 - (Special) - Vol Walker Vansandt, 61, died yesterday evening at his home on Route 2, Springdale, after a long illness.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Sonora by the Rev. Bruce Phillips, assisted by the Rev. Tommy Day. Buriel will be in the Sorora cemetery under the direction of Callison-Sisco Funeral Home.

Mr. Vansandt was a prominent fruit and cattle farmer here, and was a member of the Pilgrim's Rest Baptist Church.

He was born May 25, 1889, at Sonora.

Survivors are his wife, Edna; one son, Wayne, of Springdale; two brothers, P. D. Vansandt and G. I. Vansnmdt, both of Manteca, Calif.; and one sister, Mrs. Earl Cole of Compton, Calif.
