GARFIELD - Samuel Ray Brand, 21, of Garfield died March 14, 1999. at St. Mary's Hospital in Rogers. He was born April 29, 1977, in Hutchinson, Kan., to Ken M. and Sandra L. Wingert Brand. He moved to Garfield in 1988 and was a prep cook for Applebee's Restaurant. He was preceded in death by two sisters.
Survivors include his parents of the home; four half brothers, Earl Brand of Alliance, Neb., Jeff Brand of Arkansas City, Kan., Bob Brank of Glendale, Ariz., and Troy Brand of Denver, Colo.; one half sister, Rachel Brand of Arkansas City; paternal grandmother, Geneva Brand of Wichita, Kan.; maternal grandmother, Raymond Wingert of Attica, Kan.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Burns Funeral Home in Rogers with the Rev. Benny Thompson officiating. Cremation will follow. Burial will be in Rogers Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Samuel Ray Brand Trust Fund at First National Bank of Rogers, 72756.
