Rogers Woman Dies at Home Tuesday
Mrs. Alice Dean Bender, 84, died Tuesday at her home near Rogers where she had lived since 1937. Funeral time has not been set, pending word from relatives, but services will he held at Avoca Christian church by Rev. Emmett Davis. The arrangements are in charge of Nelson-Savage Funeral home.
Mrs. Bender was born in Rushville, Ill., Oct. 28, 1856, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Presson.
Surviving are one son, C. E. Bender of Rogers; four daughters, Mrs. Florence Montgomery of Penrose, Colo.; Mrs. Nina Hutchinson, Texomo, Okla.; Mrs. Pearl Bordwell, San Francisco; Mrs. Iris Canfield, Yakima, Wash.; a brother, Ed Presson of Los Angeles; a sister, Mrs. Flora Griffin of Cheyenne, Wyo., and 23 grandchildren.
