Myrtle Marie Mongrue daughter of Ulysses Joseph and Adelle Bourgeois Mongrue

Mrs. Myrtle Marie Mongrue, 90, of Strawberry, died Sunday in Cave City. She was born in Luling, La., and was a member of the Strawberry Southern Baptist Church and was a retired civil service secretary with 31 years service.

Surviving are one daughter, Marilyn Ann Guillory Clark of Strawberry; two brothers, Melton Mongrue and Roland Mongrue of Luling; two sisters, Cleo Higgins and Muriel Pumphrey of Lulilng; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by one daughter and a sister.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 3 in the chapel of Roller-Crouch-McGee Funeral Home in Batesville with Rev. Preston Clegg officiating.

Burial will be in the Lancaster Cemetery in Strawberry.

Active pallbearers will be Kenneth Clark, Patrick Clark, Morris Clark, Joshua Clark, Judd Martin, Nolan Martin, Bart Voyles and Melvin Aughenbaugh.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 this evening at the funeral home.

Higgins, Roland Mongrue And The Late Grace Duhe And Myrtle Mongrue. Father Of Courtney Mongrue, Connie Mars, Wade Mongrue, And Wanda St. Martin. Grandfather Of Misty Mars, Tammy Mars, Terry St. Martin, Candy St. Martin, Lecia Monceaux, Tangie Mongrue, And Courtney Mongrue. Also Survived By 2 Great-Grandchildren.

Relatives And Friends Of The Family Are Invited To Attend A Memorial Mass On Friday, June 25, 2004 At 11 Am At St. Anthony Of Padua Catholic Church, Luling, La.
