Mrs. Sharon L. Sperry
Sharon Lea Ardelean Sperry, 59, of Mountain View, Arkansas entered into rest on December 7, 2012 in Mountain View.
Sharon Lea Ardelean Sperry was born March 15, 1953 to George John Ardelean and Julia Rose Sandor in Aurora, Illinois. She was employed at Special Services in Mountain View, Arkansas. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church where she sang in the Choir and was a teacher’s helper. Sharon never met a stranger nor forgot a name. She loved to sing especially Elvis songs. Sharon requested that her funeral be a time of joy because she was looking forward to heaven.
Sharon is survived by her daughter, Julie Sperry of Salem, Arkansas. She had numerous “adopted” family members the following are just a few: adopted: mothers: Alena Ostergrant of Calico Rock, Arkansas and Etta Sandlin of Indianapolis, Indiana; father: John David Sandlin, Sr. of Indianapolis, Indiana; sisters: Judy Ackley and Rose Sandlin of Indianapolis, Indiana; Martha Everett and Loreena Hegenbart of Mountain View, Arkansas and Phyllis Venable of Drasco, Arkansas; brothers: Larry Ackley of Indianapolis, Indiana and Keith Hess of Mountain View, Arkansas; nieces and nephews Jessica, Sean and Sonnett Patrick of Merced, California and Ben, Candi, Mia and Mikal Hegenbart of Peyton, Colorado and especially, Eysiah Hegenbart of Mountain View, Arkansas. She had many friends in her home at Residential Care Facility, at work and in the community.
She is preceded in death by her parents: George John and Julia Rose (Sandor) Ardelean and brother Robert Ardelean, also “adopted brother”: Patrick Hegenbart.
Visitation was held Monday, December 10, 2012 from 6-9pm beginning with the Rosary at 6pm location was Roller-Crouch Chapel in Mountain View, Arkansas. Funeral Mass was Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, beginning with the Chaplet of Divine Mercy at 10am Mass started promptly at 10:30am. A luncheon reception followed the Mass in the fellowship hall at St. Mary’s. On Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at 1pm Sharon was laid to rest in Salem, Arkansas at the Salem cemetery. Reverend John C. Lewandowski presided over the Mass. Deacon Richard Linstad from Mountain Home presided over the graveside service on Wednesday in Salem, Arkansas.
Pallbearers are: Henry Fedd, Vern Humphrey, John Malloy, Chris Pitts, Danny Smith and Samuel Smith. Honorary Pallbearers are: Ben Davis, Keith Hess, Eugene McAteer, Gil Bower, Ron Treichel, John Hardin, and Doug Kraatz.
