Mr. Calvin Leavels died at his home near Craig last Wednesday week. The Funeral services were conducted by Rev. F.C. Ford at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery. We extend sympathy to the breaved. John C. Levell is shown married to Emily E. Levell on April 16, 1857 in DeKalb County, Book 1, page 43. John married (2) Angeline Davis. He was her 2nd husband. March 22, 1918 Mrs. Angleine Leavell passes to Her Reward
Mrs. Angeline Leavell, aged 84 years died at the home of her son, Henry Stubblefield, of Scotland, Sunday, March 10, 1918. Mrs. Leavell was born and reared in South Carolina, where she met and married Henry Stubblefield. With her husband and children, she came to this state thirty-five
years ago, her husband dying one year after their arrival.
After 16 years of widowhood, Mrs. Stubblefield married J.C. Leavell, whose companionship she enjoyed for ten years and which was terminated by his death. Mrs. Leavell joined the Missionary Baptist Church more than sixty years ago and ever afterward lived a devoted Christian life. Two sons, Henry Stubblefield of Scotland and Thos. Stubblefield of Oklahoma, and one daughter,
Mrs. Mag Braswell also of Oklahoma, service. Interment took place at the Scotland Cemetery Monday, March 11.
Many sorrowing friends being in attendance.
