Son of Willie Jefferson "Bill" and Bertha Vera Vaughan Ledford. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Living Water Baptist Church in Huntsville, where he served as trustee.
Survivors: two daughters Melissa Blythe of Springdale and Twila Ledford of Bella Vista, one sister Karen Hollon of Springdale; two grandchildren.
Don was also a livestock trader at one time. When I met him, I was growing chickens under contract for Tysons and Don was driving a truck, hauling feed for them. He was a divorced father and didn't get to see his little girls as often as he would have liked, but he certainly loved them and they were in his thoughts a lot.
He was a person who didn't make friends quickly, but once he did, that was it, he stood by them to the end.
