Violet Edna Sisk, 89, of Huntsville died Oct. 19, 2008, at Northwest Medical Center-Springdale. She was born Sept. 8, 1919, in Belle Plain, S.D., to Calvin and Edna Blogett Traver.
She was a homemaker and member of Upper Smyrna Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Forrest Sisk, on Sept. 3, 1975; two daughters, Margie Cannon and Marilyn Fitch; stepson, Bill Sisk.
Survivors include two sons, James Sisk and wife Gloria of Huntsville, and Paul Sisk and wife Ginger of Anderson, Mo.; daughter, Marcella Gray of Memphis, Tenn.; stepson, Marion Donald Sisk of Rogers; brother, John Traver of Huntsville; two sisters, Ella Watson of Huntsville and Ruth Havens of Denison, Texas; 16 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Huntsville Cemetery with the Rev. Earl Jordan officiating.
Arrangements are by Brashears Funeral Home in Huntsville.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Sisk, James Sisk II, Randy Fitch, Jeff Fitch, Bobby Swanson, Shirley Burnett, Earl Burkes, Othenia Burkes, Vida Jordan and Connie Rice.
