Wife of William Howard Hargis
Mrs. Nora May Hargis, 93, of Huntsville, died Wednesday, April 25, in the Huntsville Memorial Hospital. She was born May 16, 1885, at Dry Fork, Arkansas, the daughter of Miles and Isabelle Walker Howard. She has been a resident of Huntsville since 1907, and a member of the First Baptist Church, Huntsville, for over fifty years.
She was preceded in death by one son, Earl H. Hargis. Survivors include her husband, Tom Hargis of the home; two sons, Bruce Hargis and James M. Hargis of Huntsville; two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Bunch of Portales, New Mexico, and Mrs. Mildred Witt of Fayetteville; one sister, Mrs. Margaret Seitz of Dr Fork; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Services were at 3:30 p.m. Friday, April 27, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home, with the Rev. Bill Williamson and the Rev. Cecil Garrison officiating. Burial was in the Huntsville Cemetery.
