Funeral services for Chaney Deskin, 69, of Route 4, Huntsville in the Harmony community were held in the chapel of the Brashears Funeral Home Wednesday, Feb. 27 at 3 p.m. Rev. Cecil Garrison of Springdale conducted the services. Mr. Deskin died Sunday about 7:40 p.m. He had been in bad health recently with a heart aliment.
He was born in Alabam January 26, 1888, the son of Hoyle and Mattie Deskin. He had lived in and near Huntsville the past 14 years.
He is survived by his wife, Venia Deskin, of the home.
Brashears Funeral Home had charge of funeral arrangements and burial was in the Huntsville cemetery.

Mrs. Vena Deskin, a former resident of this city, died in a hospital at Joplin, Mo., May 22. She was born in this county June 19, 1879, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Cline.
Survivors include a son, Clyde Barker, of Joplin; one sister, Mrs. Alpha Carlock of this city, and one brother, Sam Cline of Hindsville.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with Rev. Cecil Garrison conducting. Burial was in the Huntsville cemetery under the direction of Brashears.
Pallbearers were nephews of the deceased
