Helen Blocker Neal, 86, of Lepanto, AR., passed away on Friday, Nov. 23,
2007, after an extended illness.

Helen was born in Palmer, Mo., on Sept. 12, 1921, to Poad and Augusta
McKeethen Blocker. She was a member of First Baptist Church at Lepanto
where she was very active in the music ministry.

She enjoyed singing and often sang at worship services and other community
gatherings.

She was employed for many years by American Greetings at Osceola as
inventory control supervisor. Later she worked at Little River Bank in
Lepanto.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, James A. Neal; two
sons, James Whayne Neal and David Michael Neal; and a brother, Jack David
Blocker.

She is survived by her youngest son, William Blocker Neal of The Woodlands,
Texas; seven grandchildren; James Whayne Neal Jr. of Jonesboro, Connie J.
Neal Steele of West Memphis, John Michael Neal of Batesville, Jeffery Scott
Neal of Grey, Tenn., and Courtney Allison Neal, Shannon Casaday Neal and
Kelly Kathryn Neal of The Woodlands; eight great-grand-children;
sister-in-law, Beth Neal Lunsford of Bartlett, Tenn.; two nieces, Doris May
Lane of Memphis and Becky Lunsford Gravely of Bartlett; and one nephew,
Joseph E. Casaday of Miami, Fla.
