Sylvia Parks Dyer, 93, of Huntsville, Arkansas, died March 20, 2011 at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, Arkansas. She was born December 10, 1917 at Huntsville, Arkansas, the daughter of William and Hester Marshall Eastep. She had retired from the Food Service Department of the Huntsville Public Schools and was a member of the Hartwell Church of Christ and the Red Hat Society.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Earl Parks and Dick Dyer, one son, Tommy L. Robinson, one stepson, Derald Parks, two stepdaughters, Vivian Sutherland and Phyllis Pollock and five sisters, Rebecca Warren, Virgie Porter, Lavern Laird, Golda Holden and Frances Bohannon.
Surivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Earlene Parks of Springdale, Arkansas; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Carolyn and Phil Hudspeth of Farmington, Arkansas, Joyce and Glenn Roberts of Huntsville, Arkansas and Terry Hall of Springdale, Arkansas; one stepson and stepdaughter-in-law, Jack and Dorothy Parks of Minden, Louisiana; one stepdaughter, Velma Napier of Huntsville, Arkansas and one brother and sister-in-law, Tommy and Effie Eastep of Huntsville, Arkansas; eleven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A. M. Thursday, March 24, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Huntsville Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home of Huntsville, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be: Richard Robinson, Chuck Robinson, Jason Tice, Kory Roberts, Casey Parks and Zack Hall. The family will receive friends from 5:00 P. M. to 7:00 P. M. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
