He was the son of Henry Monroe and Opal Christine (McCoy) Moppin.
He was a member of the Harmony Baptist Church, a retired telephone contractor, and member of Washington Lodge #1, Free and Accepted Masons at Fayetteville, a former member of the Northwest Arkansas Bassmasters and an avid Razorback Baseball fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and Dad, John K. Beasley and one brother, James Henry Moppin.
Survived by his children: Major Mickey and Jana Moppin - Fort Lewis, WA. and Tracey and Ryan Pomeroy - Fayetteville, AR.; his companion for twenty-six years, Trudy Holtzclaw Bradley of the home and her daughters Ashlee Switzer and Amy Bradley; and four grandchildren, Andrew Partian of Chicago, IL., Grace, Sara, and Addison Pomeroy of Fayetteville, AR.
He is also survived by two sisters, Charlene and Keith Ferguson of Saint Joseph, MO. and Debbie and Randy Shinn of Huntsville, AR.
Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday April 7, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with Interment in the Huntsville Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Lance Porter, Brad Moppin, Jermey Shinn, Robert Hurst, Andy Sills, and Tommy Davis. Honorary Pallbearers: Jeff Switzer and Don Greenlee.
