Wife of Orville Bennett Dorsey
Opal Christene Beasley, 88, of Huntsville, Arkansas, died January 29, 2010 at her home.
She was born September 26, 1921 at Wesley, Arkansas, the daughter of Sheridan Phillip and Gertrude McChristian McCoy.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Huntsville Free Will Baptist Church attending the Harmony Regular Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Henry Monroe Moppin and John Kermit Beasley, one son, James Henry Moppin, two brothers, Chris McCoy and Conley McCoy and one sister, Cleta McCoy.
Survivors include: one son, Glyndon Coy Moppin of Fayetteville, Arkansas; two daughters and sons-in-law, Charlene and Keith Ferguson of Saint Joseph, Missouri and Debbie and Randy Shinn of Huntsville, Arkansas; two brothers and sisters-in-laws, Sanford and Glenna Fay McCoy of Hindsville, Arkansas and Charles and Martha McCoy of Springdale, Arkansas; seven grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, February 1, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with The Reverend Glen Faulkner officiating. Interment was in the Huntsville Cemetery.
