Flossie Bell Hurst, 86 of Walnut Ridge, passed away April 24, 2023, in the Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Walnut Ridge.
Born January 31, 1937, in Walnut Ridge; daughter of the late, Jesse and Jewel Holder McEntire. Flossie was united in marriage to J.B. Hurst on July 5, 1981. She worked in sales and retired at Walmart in the clothing department. She enjoyed reading mystery and nursing books and collecting Indian memorabilia. She was a member of the Gethsemane Baptist Church in Walnut Ridge.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, J.B. Hurst in 2013; a granddaughter, Allison Waldrupe; two sisters, Nadine Brady, and Marcella Murphy; four brothers, Cecil, Tommy Joe, J.B., and Brooks McEntire.
Survivors include her daughter, Henrietta (Gale) Crum of North Port, FL; three sons, Reggy (Ceressa) Waldrupe of Litchfield, IL, Tony (Michelle) Waldrupe of Walnut Ridge; and Rob (Tina) Waldrupe of Justin, TX; twelve grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; one sister, Mary Ann Chapel of Sikeston, MO; two brothers, Russell (Betty) McEntire of Sikeston, MO and Jessie McEntire of Charleston, MO; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service will be Saturday, April 29, 2023, at 2 P.M. in the Gethsemane Baptist Church with Bro. Derek Collins officiating. Pallbearers will be Jordan, Blake, Brooke, Houston, Gavin and Colman Waldrupe. Interment will follow in the Lawrence Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 12 P.M. till 2 P.M. Saturday.
