Mrs. Ola Fay Scarbrough Coopwood, 83, of North Little Rock Baptist Health Center, passed away Tuesday, May 1, at her residence.
Mrs. Coopwood was a Protestant. She worked in retail, and was preceded in death by her husband, John Coopwood, 13 brothers and sisters.
Survivors include three sons, Jim Scarbrough of Edmond, Okla., Jerry Scarbrough of Salem and Jack Scarbrough of North Little Rock; two sisters, Freda Toy of Jonesboro and Vada Van Buren of Kansas City, Kansas; one brother, Whit Herndon of Lepanto; three daughters-in-law, Carol, Connie and Betty; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at Murphy Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Sylvester Brannon officiating. Burial was in Potter Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Murphy Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Alton Tyler, William Tyler, Whit Herndon, Jr., Tri Herndon, Mike Herndon and Daniel DeClerk.
The family suggests the Lepanto Museum for anyone considering memorials.
