Martin LeVan Felkins, 74, of Crossett died Friday, January 14, 2011, at the Ashley County Medical Center.
Born on August 13, 1936, in Russellville to William R. and Lois Robinson Felkins, Mr. Felkins was a veteran of the U. S. Army, a retired boilermaker and past member of the board of trustees for Boilermakers Local # 69 in Little Rock for over 20 years. He was an avid outdoorsman, loved deer hunting, crappie fishing, gardening and cooking.
Survivors include his wife, Maxine Watt Felkins of Crossett; four sons, Marty Felkins and wife Margie of White Hall, Greg Felkins of Crossett, Todd Freeman and wife Michelle of Crossett and David Scott Freeman and wife Monica of Crossett; one daughter, Karyn Felkins of Rison; one sister, Goldie Burnes of North Little Rock; ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, January 17, at Jones Funeral Home chapel in Crossett with Bro. Kenneth Watt officiating. Burial followed at the Rolfe Chapel Cemetery.
