Ben C. Waldron of Gassville, a lifetime resident of this area, died last Wednesday at Baxter General Hospital. He was 68.
Mr. Waldron was born Oct 7, 1913, at Lendsburg, KS, the son of Bill and Gertrude E. Parris Waldron. A janitor, Mr. Waldron was a member of the Assembly of God Church. He married Jewell Wallis Sep 26, 1968, in Kansas City, MO.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; his mother of Gassville; two step sons, Norman Eugene Huckaby of Mt. Home and Carl Dean Huckaby of Memphis, TN; one step daughter, Neva Loreana Moore of Sulphur Springs, Texas; two sisters Pauline Sagel of Golden City, Mo, and Frances Smith of Independence, MO; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were Saturday at the Old Galatia Church with Brother Lyndale Harberson officiating. Burial was in the Galatia Cemetery under the direction of Roller Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Fred Woehl, Sr., Fred Woehl, Jr., Jack Woehl, Russell Willett, Leon Ralston and Leonard Gruszka. Honorary pallbearers were Robin Audeoud, Don Paul Miller and John Woehl.
