Emmet R. Alaniz Sr., of Fayetteville, died Saturday in Fayetteville.
He was born July 22, 1896, in Gonzales, Texas.
Mr. Alaniz was a retired masonry contractor. He moved to this area from Wichita Falls, Texas, in 1960, and was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Della Lopez Alaniz of the home; four sons, Emmet R. Alaniz Jr. of Daytona Beach, Fla., Fred R. Alaniz of Fayetteville; Johnny P. Alaniz of Rogers, and Edward A. Alaniz of Joplin, Mo., a daughter, Stella Farrar of San Antonio, Texas; a brother, Fred Alaniz Sr. of Jonesville, Mich.: 19 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Baptist Ford Community Church. Burial will be in the Baptist Ford Cemetery, Greenland.
The body will lie in state at Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville.
